Annual Fund Manager

CARITAS is looking for a mission-driven, strategic, and detail-oriented Annual Fund Manager to help grow our annual giving program and strengthen relationships with the donors who make our work possible.

At CARITAS, our mission is to create a safe space to heal and time to rebuild for people experiencing homelessness and/or substance use disorder. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to connect people who want to make a difference with a mission that changes lives.

What You'll Do

As our Annual Fund Manager, you'll play an important role in planning and executing CARITAS' annual fundraising strategy, including:

• Help develop and execute annual giving campaigns through direct mail, digital communications, special events, and donor stewardship.
• Build and maintain relationships with annual fund donors and prospects, with a particular focus on new and monthly donors.
• Coordinate timely gift processing, donor acknowledgements, recognition, impact reports, and other gratitude efforts.
• Help plan and execute fundraising and donor engagement events, including CARITAS' signature annual fundraiser.
• Track annual fund goals, performance, and donor engagement using DonorPerfect.
• Analyze fundraising data and use what you learn to strengthen future strategies.
• Prepare regular annual fund reports for the Development Committee and Board of Directors.
• Work closely with the Director of Development and Chief Advancement Officer to identify and engage annual fund prospects.

What We Are Looking For

• Care about CARITAS' mission and have a genuine interest in human services, homelessness, and/or substance use disorder.
• Have a Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of experience in development or a related field.
• Are a strong writer and communicator who can connect with people through thoughtful, compelling messaging.
• Build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
• Are comfortable working with data, maintaining lists, and analyzing information to measure results.
• Can work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
• Are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Position: Annual Fund Manager
Schedule: Full-time, exempt | Generally Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM; flexible arrangements available
Salary: $57,000–$65,000
Location: 2220 Stockton Street, Richmond, VA 23224
Reports to: Director of Development
