Job Description Summary:

Position Responsibilities

• Checks, maintains, and prepares all related anesthesia equipment according to policy and instructions for use (IFU) including but not limited to anesthesia machines, EKG monitors, defibrillators, etc.
• Cleans, checks and stocks all anesthesia carts daily.
• Reports any deficiency or fault in operation immediately to Supervisor/Anesthesiologist.
• Maintains a clean and orderly anesthesia supply room at all times.
• Assists anesthesia personnel as delegated including but not limited to blocks, central lines, etc.
• Functions as a preceptor to new employees.
• Inspects all equipment and reports any deficiency to supervisor and Biomed.
• Orders and maintains appropriate supply inventory.
• Troubleshoots anesthesia machines when necessary.

Qualifications

License/Registration/Certification

CPR certification required.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

1 year anesthesia tech experience required. Completion of an ASATT approved accredited program preferred.
