Admissions coordinator

The Carpenter Health Network is building an exceptional team to navigate a full post-acute care continuum! We are hiring an experienced, self-driven, motivated Admissions Coordinator for our central intake in Baton Rouge, LA.

Job Duties:

• Assisting with the coordination of patient admission and transfer process
• Complete insurance verification and authorization
• Communicate with clinical liaisons regarding patient status
• Efficiently manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and utilize various systems and software to support daily operations.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

Candidate should possess previous working experience with insurance companies to include verifications, authorizations, and referrals. Excellent customer service skill required to answer incoming calls, that includes family members and referring entities. Minimum of 6 months previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting. Only candidates with appropriate experience will be considered.
