Job Summary

Performs a variety of duties as assigned to support and facilitate the maintenance of accurate and efficient business operations for Equipped For Life. Provides direct customer service, accounts support, and/or clerical/administrative support for the department as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Handles incoming calls to the department. Provides information to callers/visitors pertaining to the services of the department. Greets internal/external callers/visitors.
• Registers patients and verifies payer source.
• Follows up on all account claims that have been billed and unpaid.
• Reports key statistics for compliance, sales, revenue, cash and patient flow.
• Performs insurance pre-authorization process, enters, validates, and reconciles visit activity and supplies to ensure accurate billing.
• Posts payments every day and reconcile deposits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

Education - High School diploma or equivalent, OR post high school diploma
Experience - Two (2) years of customer service experience.
