Job Description

JOB PRIMARY PURPOSE

To lead and manage key property infrastructure. To oversee and coordinate various construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed. The candidate must oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning to implementation. They will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with project stakeholders, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards.

KEY JOB FUNCTION

Working with contractors for planning, directing, and coordinating the infrastructure design to ensure they are in line with constructing standards. Provide technical advice and opinion for procurement ensuring construction standards are met. Develop project schedules, timelines, and budgets. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion. Prepare and submit project status reports to management and other stakeholders. Ensure project safety and compliance with environmental regulations. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and other project-related materials. Supervise suppliers in carrying out work according to service contracts and meet the all safety requirements. Manage and lead the team, following good management practices, including team meetings, performance appraisals, one-on-one feedback sessions, ensuring the team is motivated and meet their objectives. Monitor all expenditure related to the Properties Division and service delivery issues and ensure oversight of planned disbursed expenditure within approved budget provisions. Ensure that Business Continuity processes are aligned with business requirements and are amended accordingly to ensure that recovery objectives of the bank are met.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, civil/electrical, mechanical engineering, or relevant field 4 - 5 years’ experience in managing teams, in setting, controlling, and managing budgets, plus three (3) years’ experience managing property development projects.
