About this opportunity

We are looking for a Manager, AI Driven Patent Analytics, to help build and scale Ericsson’s in-house capability for AI-enabled patent and business analytics. The role is part of the Strategy & Business Development team within IPR Strategy & Value and will support decision making across IPR business with timely, trusted, and decision-ready analytics.

The Manager will turn AI-driven patent analytics methods into repeatable analyses, tools, and secure workflows. This includes managing the day-to-day analytics pipeline, coordinating priorities across internal experts, Ericsson stakeholders and external vendors, and ensuring that outputs are reliable, transparent, reproducible, secure, and compliant.

What you will do

• Manage the day-to-day pipeline and priorities for patent analytics work across licensing, litigation, business development, and portfolio-related use cases.
• Develop, validate, and deploy AI-assisted workflows for portfolio analysis, landscaping, and essentiality or infringement screening.
• Lead recurring and project-specific analyses and translate results into clear, decision-ready insights for stakeholders and management.
• Coordinate analysts, internal subject-matter experts, AI-program resources, and external vendors to deliver high-quality analytics outcomes.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools, reusable methods, dashboards, and self-service analytics capabilities across BIPL.
• Ensure data quality, methodological transparency, reproducibility, security, and compliance in analytics workflows and outputs.
• Document assumptions, limitations, methodologies, and validation steps so that analyses can be challenged, repeated, and improved over time.

You will bring

• Hands-on experience in patent analytics, data science, and AI-assisted analysis; practical experience on running complex analytics and/or development projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of SEP portfolios, telecom technologies, and patent licensing, or the ability to quickly build credibility in these areas.
• Ability to translate business questions into structured analytical work, define suitable methods, and assess methodologies critically.
• Experience managing analytical projects, priorities, stakeholders, and dependencies in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain assumptions, limitations, confidence levels, and results clearly to both expert and management audiences.
• A structured, quality-oriented working style with high attention to data governance, information security, compliance, and reproducibility.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with patent professionals, licensing teams, technical experts, data specialists, and external vendors.
