Job Description

For one of our clients we are looking for a highly motivated and versatile Operations & Administration Coordinator. You will be an organised, proactive, and adaptable all-rounder with strong multitasking and time-management skills and a keen eye for detail.

In this role, you will support the day-to-day administrative, logistical, procurement, and operational activities of the business, acting as a central link between departments, suppliers, contractors, and employees. You will play an important role in ensuring that office and project activities run efficiently and that the business has the resources, information, and administrative support required to operate effectively.

The ideal candidate will be hardworking, flexible, energetic, and confident, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to health and safety. A genuine interest in mining and exploration, together with a desire to contribute to the continued growth of Suriname's mining sector, is highly desirable.

What will you be doing?

As an Operations & Administration Coordinator, you will support and coordinate the company's daily administrative, logistical, procurement, and operational activities. You will act as a central point of coordination between departments, helping to ensure that supplies, information, documentation, and operational requirements are managed efficiently.

You will support day-to-day office and project activities, maintain accurate personnel records, and assist with employee administration, including annual leave, sick leave, staff rosters, timesheets, and onboarding data entry.

You will monitor stock levels, identify supply requirements, order materials and supplies, and coordinate with external suppliers and contractors. You will also manage the Purchase Order (PO) process through QuickBooks Online, liaise with suppliers, negotiate basic commercial terms, and process supplier and contractor invoices.

Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will assist with data entry, expense tracking, record keeping, and the preparation of management reports. You will help identify administrative and operational issues, support practical solutions, and contribute to maintaining efficient day-to-day business and project operations.

The role requires someone who is comfortable taking ownership, managing competing priorities, and stepping in wherever required to support the wider business. Your ability to stay organised, communicate effectively, and maintain a positive and professional attitude will be essential to your success.

Requirements
