Specialist 2, middle office- derivatives

We are looking for a Specialist 2 to join the Middle Office- Derivatives team based in Singapore.

The Middle Office Derivatives Specialist is responsible for supporting the end-to-end lifecycle management of OTC and Exchange Traded Derivative (ETD) products while delivering a high level of client service. The role serves as a key liaison between clients, investment managers, trading desks, counterparties, and internal teams to ensure efficient operational support and successful onboarding of new business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage derivative trade lifecycle events from trade capture through settlement and ongoing lifecycle processing.
• Monitor and investigate trade, cash, and position exceptions, ensuring timely resolution of breaks and operational issues.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders on operational matters, service inquiries, and issue resolution.
• Support onboarding and transition activities for new clients, portfolios, products, and operating model changes.
• Coordinate testing activities including system integration testing, data validation, and operational readiness assessments.
• Participate in client meetings, onboarding workshops, and governance discussions.
• Contribute to process improvement, automation, and control enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to operational controls, risk management standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3-5 years’ Experience in Middle Office, Investment Operations, Fund Services, Capital Markets, or Derivatives Operations.
• Knowledge of OTC and/or ETD products including Interest Rate, FX, Equity, or Credit Derivatives.
• Strong client servicing and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting client onboarding, migrations, or implementation projects.
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle management and exception management processes.
• Familiarity with industry platforms such as Aladdin, Summit, Eagle, DTCC, Markit, or similar systems.
• Experience working within a global operating model across multiple regions.
