Job Description

Job Summary:

The position is responsible for the overall performance of onsemi's Singapore Global Distribution Center, a 100,000 sq ft facility supporting global customer fulfillment and distribution operations.

The GDC Manager provides leadership and governance for outsourced warehouse operations and serves as the primary interface between onsemi and its third-party logistics (3PL) partner. The GDC Manager is accountable for ensuring safe, compliant, efficient, and scalable warehouse operations that meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Transportation, Quality, Trade Compliance, Finance, and IT teams, the GDC Manager drives cross-functional collaboration and operational alignment while supporting the organization's growth and supply chain objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

  1. Distribution Center Operations & Service Delivery
    • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Singapore Global Distribution Center, ensuring the efficient execution of receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns activities.
    • Ensure consistent achievement of service, quality, productivity, cost, and safety objectives.
    • Proactively manage operational risks, resolve service disruptions, and ensure the timely execution of customer- and revenue-critical requirements.
    • Maintain operational readiness and scalability to support evolving business requirements and growth objectives.
  2. 3PL Management & Operational Governance
    • Serve as the primary operational interface between onsemi and its third-party logistics provider, ensuring effective execution and alignment with business objectives.
    • Govern warehouse performance through established key performance indicators, service-level agreements, operational reviews, and escalation processes.
    • Ensure appropriate staffing, training, resource planning, workforce readiness, and contingency measures are in place to support business requirements.
    • Drive accountability and collaborate with the 3PL provider to improve service quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, cycle time, and cost efficiency.
  3. Continuous Improvement, Systems & Facility Development
    • Lead initiatives to improve warehouse productivity, operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, quality performance, and cost effectiveness.
    • Identify and implement opportunities in warehouse layout, storage strategy, capacity utilization, automation, infrastructure enhancement, and process redesign.
    • Support the deployment and enhancement of warehouse management systems, ERP platforms, automation technologies, reporting tools, and digital solutions.
    • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, user acceptance testing, process deployment, and operational transformation projects.
    • Use operational data, analytics, and performance metrics to support informed decision-making and sustainable improvement.
  4. Inventory, Quality & Compliance Management
    • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of inventory through robust inventory control practices, cycle count programs, and process discipline.
    • Maintain compliance with corporate policies, quality standards, trade regulations, customer requirements, and applicable local regulatory requirements.
    • Support internal audits, customer audits, and compliance assessments, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions where required.
    • Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and operational discipline across all warehouse activities.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Support
    • Act as the primary escalation point for warehouse operational issues, service challenges, and customer delivery concerns.
    • Partner with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Planning, Transportation, Manufacturing, Quality, Trade Compliance, Finance, and IT teams to resolve issues and improve end-to-end supply chain performance.
    • Communicate operational risks, mitigation plans, performance trends, and business impacts to management and key stakeholders.
    • Support business continuity planning, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional programs that strengthen distribution capability and customer service performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant advanced degree and/or professional certifications may be considered.

Experience

  • 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations, including at least 3 years of experience managing outsourced warehouse operations and third-party logistics (3PL) providers. Prior leadership experience within a 3PL organization would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, inventory control processes, and logistics technology solutions.
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, or supporting warehouse automation, digitalization, and technology-enabled process improvement initiatives.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, process improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize operational metrics, performance dashboards, and data analysis to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and drive alignment across internal and external partners.
  • Semiconductor, electronics, medical device, or other highly regulated high-technology industry experience preferred.
