Job Description

FP&A Analyst – Power & EV Infrastructure

Department: Operations

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Romania

Reporting To: Ruxandra Creizan

Description

US Software Solution is an international solutions company focused on providing digital technologies to the Utilities, Telecommunications, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy, and Gas/Electricity sectors. Thanks to a team consisting exclusively of experts in their field, we are ready to supervise any project, regardless of its complexity and scale.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to support our Power and EV business lines through financial planning, forecasting, project profitability analysis, and management reporting. The role will work closely with US leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, identify opportunities for margin improvement, and support strategic business decisions.

The ideal candidate combines strong FP&A expertise with hands-on project financial analysis experience and a solid understanding of the EV charging or e-mobility industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual budgets and monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts covering revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, headcount, and cash flow.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis, comparing actual results against budget and forecast, and explain key financial drivers to US leadership.
  • Develop and maintain driver-based financial models linking sales pipeline, backlog, win rates, crew capacity, and installation volumes to revenue and profitability.
  • Analyze profitability by business line, project type, customer segment, and region/state, recommending actions to improve margins and financial performance.
  • Prepare management reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and presentations for US leadership.
  • Forecast cash flow based on project billing milestones, customer collections, and supplier payments.
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to support decisions related to expansion, pricing, hiring, crew capacity, and incentive or rebate programs.
  • Review work-in-progress (WIP), backlog, and job cost data with accounting and project teams to ensure forecasts reflect actual project conditions.
  • Partner with US operations, sales, project managers, and accounting to collect forecast inputs and ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Translate financial analysis into actionable recommendations to improve estimating assumptions, pricing, cost control, and project margins.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, project controlling, or project financial analysis, including hands-on project estimate vs. actual analysis and variance analysis.
  • At least 2 years of finance experience in EV charging infrastructure, e-mobility, or EV manufacturing/automotive programs.
  • Proven track record of translating financial analysis into recommendations that have been implemented and delivered measurable business improvements.
  • Experience reporting to international management; exposure to US management is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Strong understanding of project cost structures, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead, and how project estimates are built.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or higher, both written and spoken, for daily communication with US management.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet strict deadlines.

Job Benefits

  • Competitive salary package;
  • Being part of an international, dynamic work environment;
  • Professional development (seminars, courses);
  • Medical Insurance (MedLife) – subject to successful completion of the probation period;
  • Opportunity to work in a fast-growing international company with significant impact in its industry;
  • 7Card.
