Infrastructure Engineer

National Banking Corporation Limited (NBCL) is seeking a qualified and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Information Technology team. This role is responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of the Bank’s infrastructure platforms and services, ensuring a secure, resilient, scalable, and highly available technology environment.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering and supporting enterprise infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. The position is responsible for managing server platforms, operating systems, virtualization technologies, storage solutions, backup and recovery systems, cloud services, workplace technologies, and data centre operations.

As a critical member of the Technology team, the Infrastructure Engineer will ensure infrastructure services effectively support the Bank’s operational requirements, digital transformation initiatives, business continuity objectives, and regulatory obligations. The role will also contribute to infrastructure modernisation, performance optimisation, security enhancement, and the continuous improvement of technology services across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and maintain enterprise infrastructure platforms and services.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Manage and support server environments, operating systems, virtualization platforms, and storage infrastructure.
• Administer backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to support business continuity requirements.
• Support cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring secure and efficient integration with on-premises systems.
• Manage workplace technologies and end-user infrastructure to enable a productive and secure working environment.
• Maintain data centre operations and ensure infrastructure adheres to operational and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, problems, and service requests.
• Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable technology solutions.
• Contribute to infrastructure enhancement projects, technology upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, configurations, procedures, and operational records.
