Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on tax regulations to the APAC region
• Take charge of managing complex tax activities within the region and globally, including providing support and guidance during tax audits.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within our Global Business Services (GBS) and collaborate with Global Process Owner (GPO) organization to implement effective solutions.
• Ensure tax compliance and reporting processes align with both global standards and the specific regulatory requirements of the APAC region.
• Monitor and measure key process metrics to ensure high performance, including serving as a dedicated Internal Control System (ICS) reviewer.
• Act as the primary point of contact between GBS and the GPO organization, fostering strong collaboration and communication between the two entities.
• Participate and contribute to key projects.

Quality Gate Activities:

• Conduct risk-based random reviews of tax declarations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Review tax declarations for complex legal entities and intricate issues, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
• Organize and lead training sessions to enhance the team's tax-specific knowledge and expertise.
• Define additional data checks and coordinate with the GPO to ensure comprehensive compliance and accuracy.
• Develop and implement mitigation plans to address tax risks specific to the APAC region.

Who You Are

BA/BS degree in Tax/Fiscal, Finance, Accounting, Law, or Business with 5+ years of experience in tax advisory or/and in a multinational company, preferably covering direct & indirect tax advisory, tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax reporting for the APAC region.

Strong capabilities to work through ambiguity and for sound judgment. Advanced level of capabilities to lead change, projects, and initiatives. Advanced level of capability to collaborate. Advanced level of ability to explain the "why", ability to influence people and to drive change or to execute governance of Tax. Strong tax judgement and business knowledge or ability to quickly learn. Advanced level of capability to collaborate task/project oriented without geographical, organizational, or functional boarders. SAP experience is a plus. Very good analytical skills and the proactive attitude to drive process changes. Customer oriented mind-set, change management capabilities and Team player. Competence to grasp an overview of complex subjects and deduce operational activities. Exceptional interpersonal communication, and presentation skills and ability to manage multiple and diverse stakeholders. A high proficiency level in English, both written and spoken complete your profile.
