Job Description

The Contract Manager is the single point of responsibility and accountability for managing and executing all aspects of the Work / Service, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within agreed costs. The role is designated as Contract Manager under the Company Contract Holdership Scheme.

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc., M.Sc. or B.Eng.) and membership of an internationally recognised professional institute. A postgraduate degree in management (MBA) is strongly preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a managerial position on a similar Integrated Service Contract or an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Maintenance (EPCM) Contract. Proven successful experience in all aspects of project development management and general management.

• Clearly demonstrated potential to develop into an executive management position within a world-class contractor organisation.
• Ability to create and articulate a vision, policy and strategy for the business.
• Proven ability to communicate with, delegate to and motivate all personnel.
• Exceptional management and interpersonal qualities.
• Fluent spoken and written English, with the ability to conduct formal meetings, summarise discussions and close out pending issues.

Duties

• Act as Al Tasnim’s prime representative for the Contract, managing the contract office in Muscat in full compliance with the Contract and within clearly defined accountabilities and authorities.
• Create and sustain a culture of continuous improvement within the Contract organisation.
• Promote a culture of partnership and cooperation with the client.
• Closely monitor mobilisation and transition periods to ensure a smooth uptake of the Work / Service.
• Screen and endorse the employment of all Key Personnel and Core Personnel under the Contract.
• Act as custodian of all Management Systems and processes and ensure they are kept current.
• Provide leadership in HSE performance.
