Team member - kitchen/bathroom showroom sales (fixed term contract)

We’re looking for a confident, customer-focused Retail Team Member to join our Kitchen and Bathroom Showrooms Team at Mitre 10 MEGA Westgate. This is an opportunity for someone who loves working with people, enjoys the excitement of a sale, and knows how to match the right products to the right customer. From stylish kitchen appliances and practical kitchen solutions to beautiful bathroom suites, you’ll help our customers bring their renovation and makeover ideas to life — by understanding what they need, offering great advice, making thoughtful suggestions and confidently recommending the right products.

This is a sales-focused showroom role, not a kitchen design position. Your strength will be building customer relationships, recognising opportunities, showcasing our product range and delivering a great experience that turns enquiries into sales.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Engaging with customers to understand their needs, preferences, budget and project goals.
• Actively selling our kitchen, kitchen appliance and bathroom product ranges.
• Making recommendations and suggesting complementary products to create the right solution for each customer.
• Using your eye for design and attention to detail to help customers explore styles, finishes and options.
• Building rapport and customer confidence through knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional service.
• Following up on opportunities and contributing to showroom sales targets and overall department performance.
• Keeping the showroom looking its best, with products presented to inspire customers.
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Previous retail sales experience is essential to success in this role, and experience in kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, interiors, building products or a similar showroom environment will be highly regarded. You don’t need to be a kitchen designer, but you do need the confidence to sell, the curiosity to understand what customers are looking for, and the ability to recommend products that meet their needs.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Fixed Term: This is a fixed term role concluding October 2027
Days: Sunday to Thursday
