Retail Associate – OPSM at The Palms (Part-Time, 16 Hours)

Join our team at OPSM, a leading optical retail company, as a Retail Associate working 16 hours per week at our The Palms location. About the Role

As a Retail Associate, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking optical products and services. Your role will involve understanding customer needs, assisting them with product selection, providing expert advice on eyewear options including frames, lenses, and accessories, and supporting the broader team to meet sales targets. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about customer service, fashion, and health, looking to develop their retail skills within a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers in a friendly, welcoming manner ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Provide knowledgeable advice on a range of eyewear products, including frame styles, lens types, and care options.
• Assist customers in selecting eyewear that suits their lifestyle, preferences, and optical prescriptions.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure product displays are attractive and organized.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
• Support inventory management, including receiving deliveries, restocking, and conducting stocktakes.
• Collaborate with optical professionals on site to facilitate seamless service delivery to customers.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve service quality and store performance.

About You

You bring a customer-first attitude and excellent communication skills, allowing you to build rapport quickly with a diverse customer base. Attention to detail and a passion for retail – especially in fashion or health-related products – will help you excel in this role. Previous experience in retail or customer service is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
