Position Purpose:

We are looking for a Commercial Planning Manager who enjoys turning complex information into clear business direction.

This role, a direct report of the Head of Retail Excellence, sits within our Retail Excellence team and plays a key role in helping the business understand performance, plan for future growth, and make informed commercial decisions.

A significant focus of the role is managing and optimizing our sales funnel. This is far from a standard retail environment. We work across multiple customer pathways, referral sources, funding streams and government-supported programmes, creating a level of complexity that requires strong analytical capability, sound judgement and a structured approach to problem solving.

You will bring together information from multiple sources, identify what matters most, and provide practical recommendations to senior leaders. Success in this role is not about producing reports. It is about understanding the story behind the numbers and helping the business make better decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial planning and sales funnel analysis across the business
• Develop forecasts, scenarios and performance models
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and emerging trends
• Consolidate and analyse data from multiple sources to support decision-making
• Provide insights and recommendations to the NZ Leadership Team and APAC stakeholders
• Partner with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations to improve performance

About you:

• You are likely to have experience in commercial planning, business analysis, finance, consulting, revenue management or a similar discipline.
• You will also bring:
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets
• Strong analytical capability and attention to detail
• The ability to simplify complexity and provide clear recommendations
• Commercial acumen and sound business judgement
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions through insight rather than authority
• A calm, organized approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
