Your new role

Ramboll Nederland is looking for a driven and resourceful candidate to advise clients on permit applications and environmental impact assessments (EIAs). This includes expert advice on environmental legislation relating to new or expanding industrial activities. Your key responsibilities will be:

• Leading and delivering workstreams on small to large-scale permitting projects and Environmental Impact Assessments for various sectors, with responsibility for planning, coordination, quality, and timely delivery;
• Liaising directly with clients, contractors, regulators, and other professionals on all relevant areas of our projects, acting as a key point of contact for defined scopes of work and helping drive projects forward;
• Drafting and reviewing (subcontractor) reports, collaborating with other team members, synthesising technical inputs into coherent deliverables;
• Assisting in the preparation of proposals including scope definition, methodology input, and technical writing;
• Coordinating support studies and other deliverables ensuring alignment with wider project objectives and helping integrate multidisciplinary inputs into a clear overall project approach;
• Providing environmental compliance support to other disciplines, including environmental management systems, compliance reviews, and due diligence services;
• Liaising with clients, regulators, and internal project teams, with a high standard of clarity, accuracy, and professional judgement.

Your new team

You will be part of the CST Department at Ramboll Delft, where we work on various permitting, EIA and compliance projects for our diverse clients. We are also involved in permitting and planning evaluations and feasibility studies for offshore wind parks, hydrogen pipeline networks, carbon capture and other renewable energy and energy transition projects. You will play an essential role within the Ramboll CST Benelux team (Dutch & Belgium offices) and collaborate with colleague’s form across Europe and the US in defining and delivering on multiple projects involving international clients.

About you

• BSc or MSc degree in Environmental Sciences, Spatial Planning, Urban Planning, Land and Water Management, Physical Geography, or similar;
• Relevant work experience in consultancy (from 5 years onwards), with the ability to work independently, take ownership of project tasks and workstreams, and contribute effectively to project delivery;
• Thorough understanding of permitting and environmental regulations and EIA procedures in the Netherlands, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical, client-focused project environment;
• High degree of independence, initiative, and solution-oriented thinking, with the ability to structure work, manage priorities, and support the delivery of complex projects;
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, combined with the ability to see the bigger picture and contribute to well-structured, high-quality outputs;
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) in Dutch and English, with confidence in client interaction, stakeholder coordination, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
