Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Development Engineering Manager located in Prai, Penang.

The Process Development Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team of process engineers working on improving process engineering capabilities to support a specific area of a manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish and maintain statistical process control systems.
• Establish and improve process capabilities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Manage development projects that are designed to meet customer product specifications, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Work with other engineering team members to design new products that can be manufactured.
• Improve throughput in constrained areas.
• Develop, test, and implement new materials and processes for improved performance and/or lower cost and manage cost reduction efforts in assigned process areas.
• Partner with other engineering team members to design new products that can be manufactured.
• Coordinate initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training. A Master’s or MBA degree is preferred.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing, including SMT, wave soldering, and backend process development.

Strong technical expertise in new component package and soldering chemistry qualifications, with hands-on experience in Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical data analysis tools.

Ability to provide technical leadership in new technology development, qualification, and deployment into operations to deliver best-in-class manufacturing and technology solutions across diverse teams and sites.

Demonstrated technical, communication, and people management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers.
