Floorcare Dry is one of Dyson's core technology categories, with a strong pipeline of new product development activity and continued focus on performance, reliability and customer experience. Malaysia has been central to Dyson's Floorcare capability for more than 25 years, with well-established technical depth, product knowledge and delivery experience. This role will play a key part in leading and further strengthening that capability to support future Floorcare Dry products.

About the Role

The Head of NPD – Floorcare Dry leads the New Product Development organisation supporting Dyson's Floorcare Dry category.

Based in Malaysia, Johor, the role is responsible for leading an already strong and established NPD function that supports the successful delivery of Dyson's Floorcare Dry portfolio. The role works closely with teams across Malaysia, Singapore and other global development locations to ensure products are delivered with the quality, pace and technical rigour expected at Dyson.

As part of Dyson's New Product Development organisation, the Head of NPD works across Engineering, Design, Project Management, Operations, Quality, Commercial and Category teams to ensure programmes are effectively planned, resourced and delivered.

The role also plays a key part in evolving Dyson's Floorcare Dry development model, building on Malaysia's existing capability, processes and partnerships to support future category growth and product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and further develop the established Floorcare Dry NPD organisation in Malaysia.
• Build on Malaysia, Johor's position as a key NPD location for the Floorcare Dry category.
• Coach, develop and retain technical and programme talent, continuing to strengthen organisational capability for the future.
• Provide leadership and oversight across the Floorcare Dry development portfolio, ensuring programmes are appropriately resourced and supported.
• Work closely with Floorcare Category leadership to translate business priorities into robust delivery plans and organisational capability.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Project Management, Operations, Quality and Commercial teams to support successful programme execution.
• Strengthen collaboration across teams located in Malaysia, Singapore and other global development locations.
• Ensure strong governance across programme planning, technical delivery, risk management and decision-making.
• Contribute to the development of Dyson's future operating model for Floorcare Dry product development.
• Drive continuous improvement in organisational effectiveness, delivery performance and product development processes.
• Support budget planning, workforce planning and resource management activities for the NPD organisation.
• Build a high-performance culture that reflects Dyson values and ways of working.

About You

As a senior leader within Dyson's New Product Development organisation, you will combine strong technical and organisational leadership with a passion for developing people and delivering market-leading products.

You will have experience leading multidisciplinary NPD teams in a complex product development environment and be comfortable working across functions, geographies and technical disciplines. You will be capable of translating category priorities into effective delivery outcomes whilst building the long-term capability required to support future growth.

You will be an effective communicator and collaborator, able to build strong relationships across Dyson's global organisation and with external partners.
