Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Reinsurance Assistant to support the placement and administration of Facultative reinsurance business, while building strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, brokers, and reinsurers.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse requests from Corporate Underwriting department and approach relevant reinsurance markets for Facultative support.
• Review Facultative reinsurance quotations and negotiate for best terms and conditions.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of Property, Engineering and Liability lines of business and add value to information exchange between different stakeholders.
• Assist the Team Leader and Head of department to overlook the daily operations, which include processing, issuance of policy and Payment of premium within KPIS.
• Ensure efficient follow-ups and create an environment of constant feedback with clients, reinsurance brokers, and reinsurers.
• Preparing monthly reports as per departmental requirements.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or progress towards ACII.
• Previous experience in the insurance industry would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Good organisational and follow-up skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Good written and spoken proficiency in English and French.
