Workshop manager - maputo

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical Documentation
  • Support the preparation and updating of Method Statements, Lifting Plans, Risk Assessments and other technical documents.
  • Organize and maintain up-to-date technical project documentation.
• Engineering Calculations
  • Support the preparation of basic mechanical and engineering calculations, including axle loads, load distribution, ground pressure and transport configurations.
  • Prepare calculations and technical information for review by the Engineering Lead.
• Technical Drawings
  • Prepare and update technical drawings, layouts and diagrams using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Transport Planning
  • Support the preparation of equipment configurations for abnormal transport and heavy transport operations.
  • Support route surveys and the collection of technical field information.
• Proposals and Budgets
  • Support the preparation of technical documentation for tenders, RFQs and quotations.
  • Prepare equipment lists, MTOs (Material Take-Offs) and technical specifications.
• Project Follow-up
  • Keep project records and technical trackers up to date.
  • Track pending documentation and deadlines, reporting to the Engineering Lead.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, transport, maintenance or industry.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Good ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with deadlines and priorities.
• Availability for field work when required.
• Experience in abnormal transport, heavy transport, lifting, rigging or mechanical equipment will be considered an advantage, but is not mandatory.
