Introduction

Our client, an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor specialising in oil, gas and natural gas projects, is currently seeking to hire a Site Contracts Manager to join their growing team in Cabo Delgado Province, Mozambique. This will be a 24 month contract.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer site contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and obligations.
• Manage subcontractor performance, including scope, deliverables, progress, compliance and contractual issues.
• Manage site variations and change orders, assessing scope, cost and schedule impacts.
• Prepare and manage claims, including extension-of-time, disruption, delay and additional-cost claims.
• Monitor site progress against contractual milestones, identifying potential delays and commercial exposure.
• Issue and manage contractual notices and correspondence in accordance with required timeframes.
• Review and certify subcontractor payment applications, measuring completed work and resolving payment disputes.
• Identify and manage contractual risks, particularly those arising from delays, scope changes, access constraints and site conditions.
• Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager with contractual and commercial advice on site matters.
• Manage the close-out of site contracts, including final accounts, outstanding claims, variations, defects and contractual obligations.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Relevant qualification
• Minimum 5 – 10 years’ in a site contracts management function with large-scale EPC/ mega projects experience
• NEC 3/ FIDIC contracts management experience
• Must pass a site medical
• Must be willing to travel to Mozambique (75 days on, 15 days off rotation)
• Must have a valid passport
• Immediately available for employment – preferred
• Expat experience will be advantageous
