About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Country Manager to lead and direct our Mozambique operations. This executive leadership role is responsible for the overall performance of the business, including operations, sales, customer relations, financial management, governance, risk management, talent development, and strategic growth. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction while ensuring operational excellence across branch and depot operations, marketing and sales, contracts management, equipment support, maintenance services, and support functions including SHE, Finance, and Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Mozambique business strategy and operational plans.
• Lead nationwide operations to achieve sustainable growth, profitability, and market share objectives.
• Drive commercial performance through effective sales, customer engagement, and contract management.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams while driving succession planning and leadership development.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Identify and manage strategic, operational, and commercial risks across the business.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Sciences or a related field. Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.

Experience

Minimum 5 - 7 years' commercial experience in business management, operations management, finance, or related disciplines. At least 3 years' experience at strategic management or executive level. Proven experience within the mining, construction, OEM, heavy equipment, engineering, or related industries.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong strategic planning and business leadership capability.
• Financial management and budgeting expertise.
• Commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and customer relationship management.
• Sound understanding of corporate governance and risk management.
• Knowledge of relevant Mozambique labour and business legislation.
• Intermediate proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
