This position reports to: Trade & Transportation Leader

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Acting as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).
• Auditing customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.
• Managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
• Maintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Commerce, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering. 2+ years of experience in logistics and transportation roles. Knowledge in Virtual Operations & 3PL Operations. Experience in import/export. Experience with the IMMEX program. Experience with customs operations (regularizations and changes of customs regime). Experience with SAP is a plus. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for logistics data analysis and reporting. Intermediate English.
