Looking for a new challenge? Join Eleveight! We are looking for a GCP Cloud Security Expert on behalf of our partner, DXC, to support a strategic initiative involving the migration of business applications and infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate will provide security guidance and technical expertise throughout the cloud migration lifecycle, ensuring that security requirements, architecture standards, and best practices are integrated into cloud environments to minimize operational and cybersecurity risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support infrastructure and application teams throughout GCP cloud build and migration projects.
• Contribute to the implementation and hardening of security controls within the GCP Landing Zone.
• Conduct security architecture reviews and technical assessments of GCP environments.
• Perform threat assessments and risk evaluations for cloud infrastructure and migrated applications.
• Review and validate cloud architectures, configurations, security plans, and migration plans against enterprise security standards.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure cloud integration.
• Develop and document security recommendations, remediation plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to reusable cloud security patterns, standards, and best practices.
• Support governance, compliance, and audit documentation requirements.

Required Profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT Systems, Networks, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Cloud Security, with strong expertise in GCP.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale GCP cloud migration projects in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of GCP security architecture and GCP Landing Zone security.
• Experience conducting security architecture reviews, technical security assessments, and threat/risk assessments.
• Strong expertise in the following areas: GCP Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Network Security, Data Protection.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, industry standards, and enterprise security requirements.
• Experience working in complex, large-scale, hybrid, and global environments.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture principles and the Security by Design approach.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy, attention to detail, and initiative.
