Role Summary:
The Project Officer is responsible for supporting the effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities. The role coordinates field-level operations, maintains relationships with stakeholders, collects and verifies project data, and ensures activities are delivered according to approved work plans, budgets, quality standards, and organizational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the execution of project activities in strict alignment with approved designs, schedules, budgets, and internal standards.
- Align operational efforts with national strategies to maximize the achievement of broader program goals.
- Oversee on-the-ground implementation, offering both technical guidance and administrative assistance to staff, volunteers, and community partners.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring to verify adherence to quality benchmarks, donor stipulations, and organizational policies.
- Lead planning initiatives by creating detailed activity timelines, implementation roadmaps, and monitoring frameworks.
- Gather, validate, and manage project data to accurately measure progress against defined indicators, outputs, and targets.
- Generate and deliver comprehensive progress reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to the Program Manager.
- Execute regular field visits to supervise operations, assist field teams, and ensure high-quality delivery of services.
- Organize and facilitate coordination sessions with diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, government officials, and partner entities.
- Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns to build capacity among staff and beneficiaries.
- Manage procurement workflows by preparing necessary documentation, specifications, and inventory records in compliance with procedures.
- Track the usage of project assets and resources, ensuring full accountability and proper maintenance.
- Proactively identify operational risks and challenges, offering strategic recommendations for corrective measures.
- Coordinate with external consultants and contractors to manage communication, scheduling, and deliverable monitoring.
- Maintain precise records of beneficiaries, attendance, and supporting documentation for audit and reporting needs.
- Cultivate deep, sustainable relationships with community stakeholders to encourage active participation and ownership.
- Integrate safeguarding measures, accountability frameworks, and feedback mechanisms into daily operations.
- Engage in evaluation and learning processes, documenting best practices and lessons learned to inform future strategies.
- Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Program Manager to support overall organizational success.
