Job Summary

The Delegated Authority Function at IGI is responsible for the management of Delegated Authorities, TPA’s and other First Line of Defense Risk Management Activity. Due to business growth and the implementation of the SEND BDX management software, the team requires additional personnel to support the end to end BDX processing activity, supporting the wider DA function.

The team works closely with the wider DA team, Underwriters, Underwriting Operations, Exposure Management, MI, Finance, Claims, Risk, Compliance and Actuarial, as well as externally with Coverholders, Brokers and other entities.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop a wider understanding of insurance and the delegated authority space. This will provide plenty of opportunity for self-development and progression within the role advertised.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Record new Delegated Authority (DA) contracts on SEND accurately and efficiently.
• Review the DA live tracker monthly to ensure all contracts, including renewals, are correctly set up for processing incoming bordereaux.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Underwriting Operations, Claims, Compliance, Finance, MI) to resolve exceptions and ensure smooth delegated authority processes.
• Chase bordereaux when due, save related emails, and update the tracker accordingly.
• Process and validate all bordereaux received by IGI through the system.
• Manage system-identified exceptions using validation rules, including checks against delegated underwriting and claims authority, and raise queries with Underwriters, Claims Adjusters, Underwriting Operations, and external parties (Coverholders and Brokers).
• Support the management of delegated authority bordereaux through bordereaux tracking reports, chasing the relevant teams/departments/external parties.
• Undertake additional ad hoc processing activities outside SEND as required.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor/manager.
• Ensure all bordereaux data is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory and internal standards while meeting KPIs for timeliness, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
