FOOD AND BEVERAGE DIRECTOR

Job Summary: The food and beverage director is responsible for managing operations of all food and beverage outlets on the property to deliver an excellent guest experience. He or she will also be required to manage, train, and develop team members and work within all budgeted guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations, including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction
• Managing all food and beverage outlets
• Ensuring compliance with brand standards
• Setting departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and procedures
• Evaluating guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
• Strong organizational and leadership skills are required to guide the department to excellence

Qualifications:

• College or university degree in hospitality management and/or equivalent experience/education
• A minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in food & beverage management in a first-class hotel, at least 1 of which should have been in the position of food & beverage manager
• Computer literate with knowledge of computer applications and software
• Up to date with food and beverage trends and best practices
• Guest-oriented and service-minded
• International experience would be an advantage
• The ability to work under pressure
