Job Summary

The Chief Strategy & Finance Officer combines executive responsibility for corporate strategy, financial management, business planning, capital allocation, and performance management. In an insurance and investment group, the role connects long-term strategy with financial execution, investment priorities, risk management, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Group's corporate and financial strategy.
• Lead annual budgets, long-range plans, forecasts, and financial performance management.
• Oversee FP&A, management reporting, financial modeling, and strategic analysis.
• Lead capital allocation, liquidity, funding, and financial resource planning.
• Evaluate strategic investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and new business opportunities.
• Establish Group-wide financial and strategic KPIs.
• Monitor profitability, growth, cost efficiency, capital efficiency, and business-unit performance.
• Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and strategic stress testing.
• Partner with Investment, Treasury, Risk, Actuarial, and Finance leadership on capital and investment decisions.
• Develop Board and Executive Committee presentations covering strategy, financial performance, and major strategic initiatives.
• Lead strategic planning cycles and business transformation programs.
• Assess market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and opportunities affecting the Group.
• Support M&A, corporate development, restructuring, and strategic transactions.
• Ensure strong financial governance, controls, and accountability.
• Lead and develop strategy, corporate planning, FP&A, and finance teams as applicable.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of progressive experience across corporate strategy, finance, FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, or financial services.
• Proven senior leadership experience combining strategic planning and financial management.
• Experience within insurance, investment management, asset management, banking, or broader financial services strongly preferred.
• Strong background in: Corporate Strategy, FP&A, Financial Modeling, Corporate Planning, Capital Allocation, M&A / Corporate Development, Performance Management, Investment Analysis.
• Experience working directly with CEO, CFO, Board, Investment Committee, and senior executives.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, capital markets, investment principles, and risk management.
• CFA, CA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MBA Finance/Strategy, or equivalent preferred.
