KG2 Lead Teacher — International Nursery

About the Role

MZ Talent Group is recruiting two KG2 Lead Teachers for a growing International nursery in Baghdad, where all teaching is delivered in English. Each Lead Teacher will oversee two KG2 classrooms, support teaching staff and undertake some direct teaching. You will help children develop confidence, independence and the skills needed for their transition to primary education. You will initially support the existing nursery while the new branch is being prepared. As the nursery expands across Baghdad, you may be assigned to different branches according to operational needs, helping maintain consistent teaching standards and supporting the nursery's development.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily teaching and learning across two KG2 classrooms for ages 4-6 years.
• Support staff with planning, classroom practice and routines.
• Deliver some teaching and model effective approaches to learning.
• Monitor children's progress, wellbeing and readiness for primary school.
• Maintain clear communication with parents and nursery management.
• Act as a positive role model for children and colleagues.

Requirements

• At least three years' experience working in a kindergarten is essential.
• A strong understanding of early childhood development and school readiness.
• Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• The ability to support colleagues and lead by example.
• Strong English communication skills, as teaching is delivered in English.
• Montessori experience would be an advantage.
