Job Description

Lead the Business Readiness Team end to end—owning the business readiness operating model, intake governance, impact assessment methodology, business readiness planning playbook & execution, and adoption outcomes across the organization’s change portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end accountability for business readiness performance and adoption outcomes across programs/releases.
  • Define and implement Business Readiness standards, governance, and controls.
  • Build and lead the Business Readiness Team (capacity planning, talent development, performance management, stakeholder partnership model).
  • Set the Business Readiness strategy and operating model: roles/RACI, cadence, milestones, SLAs, deliverables, and tooling/reporting.
  • Provide executive oversight of intake and prioritization: ensure demand is triaged appropriately, ownership is clear, and high-risk changes receive appropriate business readiness rigor.
  • Chair/lead cross-functional Business Readiness governance with Product, Technology, PMO, LRCC, Communications, Training, and Operations leadership.
  • Ensure consistency and standardization (nomenclature, procedures, training strategy, comms approach) while allowing proportional tailoring by impact.
  • Establish adoption measurement frameworks (KPIs, dashboards, feedback loops) and drive decisive intervention when adoption is off-target.
  • Anticipate Business Readiness risks and remove organizational blockers (resource constraints, decision bottlenecks, conflicting priorities).
  • Report Business Readiness health, adoption outcomes, and key risks/decisions to senior leadership; provide clear recommendations and escalation paths.
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-release reviews, root-cause themes, and updates to standards, templates, and team practices.

Typical outputs:

  • Business Readiness operating model, standards, templates, stage-gate governance, and SLAs
  • Portfolio business readiness roadmap integrated with release strategy and capacity plans
  • Executive dashboards for business readiness health and adoption outcomes; escalation and remediation plans
  • Team capability plan (headcount/skills), performance goals, and development paths

Requirements:

  • 10–15+ years leading complex change, transformation, operating model, or large-scale program delivery in cross-functional environments.
  • Proven executive stakeholder influence and governance leadership; track record of improving adoption outcomes at scale.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, and business readiness disciplines; experience building/leading teams.
