Job Description

Own the day-to-day Business Readiness delivery for an assigned portfolio of changes, from intake and impact assessment through implementation, adoption, hypercare, and transition to BAU. Develop and maintain integrated Business Readiness plans, coordinate delivery across Communications, Training, Procedures, Operations, Controls, Product, Technology, and PMO, assess readiness, manage risks and dependencies, and provide clear reporting and recommendations to the Business Readiness Lead.

Role Accountabilities (summary)

  • Accountable for the day-to-day Business Readiness outcome and execution discipline across an assigned portfolio of lower- and medium-complexity changes.
  • Operate as part of a pooled team of three Associates, providing cross-portfolio coverage during peak demand, absence, or conflicting release activity.
  • Own an allocated central team capability, such as process and quality assurance, management information and tooling, or adoption insights and knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned lower- and medium-complexity changes through the full Business Readiness lifecycle, escalating complex, high-risk, or cross-portfolio matters to the Business Readiness Lead.
  • Support or conduct intake, impact, stakeholder, and operational readiness assessments; translate findings into proportionate deliverables, milestones, owners, and success measures.
  • Build, maintain, and quality-check integrated Business Readiness plans aligned to release dates, including actions, dependencies, controls, stage-gate evidence, cutover, hypercare, and transition to BAU.
  • Coordinate Business Readiness delivery across Communications, Training, Procedures, Operations, Controls, Product, Technology, and PMO; challenge incomplete plans or evidence and drive timely closure.
  • Agree routine milestones and delivery actions with workstream owners, monitor service levels and dependencies, and escalate missed commitments or unresolved readiness risks.
  • Assess readiness against agreed criteria and provide evidence-based recommendations on whether assigned lower-complexity changes are ready to proceed.
  • Monitor readiness, adoption, and operational performance indicators; identify emerging risks or off-target adoption early and recommend remediation.
  • Coordinate agreed interventions, including additional communications, training, procedure updates, stakeholder engagement, release support, and hypercare actions.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and auditable intake, assessment, decision, risk, action, and readiness documentation in the agreed repository and workflow tools.
  • Maintain an accurate view of assigned demand, effort, milestones, and resource dependencies; identify capacity conflicts early and support portfolio reprioritisation.
  • Provide cross-portfolio cover and contribute to common standards, templates, quality reviews, reporting, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across the Associate team.

Typical outputs

  • Integrated Business Readiness plans with milestones, actions, owners, dependencies, stage-gate evidence, cutover, hypercare, and BAU transition activities
  • Impact and stakeholder assessment inputs, readiness recommendations, and supporting evidence
  • Portfolio demand and capacity view; RAID, action, decision, and dependency logs; status and escalation updates
  • Readiness, adoption, and post-release performance reporting, including remediation and issue tracking
  • Meeting agendas and records, auditable artefact repository, lessons learned, and improvements to team standards or tooling

Qualifications / experience (typical)

  • Typically 3–5 years of experience in Business Readiness, change management, operations, project delivery, product support, transformation, or PMO, with evidence of independently managing multiple concurrent changes.
  • Experience developing integrated plans, coordinating cross-functional delivery, assessing readiness, managing risks and dependencies, and driving actions to deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the judgement to challenge constructively, make evidence-based recommendations, and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail, with experience maintaining accurate, complete, and auditable records in controlled environments.
  • Ability to work flexibly within a pooled team, balance competing priorities, provide cross-portfolio cover, and contribute to shared capability development.
