Sr. vehicle mechatronics - uplift control

At Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Private Limited, we are looking for a visionary leader to drive the future of vehicle human-machine interfaces (HMI) and software development. As the Senior Vehicle Mechatronics - Uplift Control, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge HMI solutions for our next-generation vehicles. Your role is pivotal in enhancing the user experience, ensuring seamless interaction between drivers, passengers, and vehicle systems, and spearheading the creation of intuitive, user-friendly interfaces, including FOTA/OTA systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a dynamic team of engineers and designers in creating innovative HMI solutions, setting new standards for automotive user experience.
• Oversee HMI software development, including ASAM and CGW, to ensure intuitive and efficient interactions with DICV products.
• Enhance user experience through intuitive design, focusing on driver and passenger comfort and convenience.
• Collaborate with a global team, combining creative vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills to guide software solutions.
• Ensure DICV vehicles meet the highest safety and security standards by overseeing HMI functional safety and cybersecurity development.
• Leverage expertise in functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity standards to develop robust safety-critical systems.
• Provide strong support and guidance to safety engineers, leading the safety lifecycle from concept to production and operation.
• Integrate functional safety and cybersecurity measures into vehicle systems, ensuring a holistic approach to safety.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in HMI and software development to maintain DICV's competitive edge.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on software development and/or mechatronics.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in HMI development, ASAM software engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading teams.
• Expertise in Automotive network management.
• Expertise in ASAM, CGW, and FOTA/OTA systems, with a deep understanding of their application in automotive settings.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a diverse team of engineers and designers.
• Proficiency in functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity standards, with experience in implementing safety-critical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Experience with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles or a similar automotive company is an advantage.
