Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking an experienced Digital Design Engineer to join our Automotive Networking team in Hyderabad, India. As a Principal Digital Design Engineer, you will lead the development of complex digital design projects, provide technical leadership in system-level architecture, and mentor other team members to drive engineering excellence across the team.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping product strategy, advancing design methodologies, and leading cross-functional technical initiatives. You will collaborate closely with architects, verification engineers, software developers, and product teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise across multiple domains, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for driving innovation and engineering excellence in digital design.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as technical mentor for other members of the digital design team
• Influence product direction and technical roadmaps
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define and develop system-level architectures for complex digital designs
• Architect, Design, Implement, and maintain RTL IP for Digital systems
• Design closure and optimization with respect to performance, power, and area (PPA)
• Define verification strategies, review verification plans, and support debug and design closure activities
• Guide methodology improvements and best practices across the organization

What we're looking for:

We're looking for engineers with solid Digital Design fundamentals and strong people skills who enjoy working on innovative products and collaborating across teams. The ideal candidate would match the criteria listed below.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience
• Minimum of 12 years' experience in digital design

Core experience (important for the role):

• Proven track record of system level architecture/design/verification for complex digital systems (with Verilog/SystemVerilog)
• Proven ability to influence product direction, guide methodology improvements, and lead small technical teams
• Proven track record for design closure activities, including timing closure, power and area optimization
• Experience translating product requirements into architecture, specifications, and RTL implementations
• Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Python, TCL)
• Experience with common on chip communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, or UART
• Experience designing and integrating complex multi-clock digital systems

Experience that's a plus, but not essential:

• FPGA emulation or pre-silicon system validation experience
• Experience with Ethernet, switching, packet processing, MACsec, TSN, or related networking technologies
• Exposure to microcontroller-based subsystems and related development tools
• Exposure to automotive functional safety flows (e.g. ISO26262)
• Familiarity with security or encryption techniques used in embedded systems
