About the Role

Autoliv is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Senior Specialist- Customer Order Planning & Processing to lead demand planning, customer order management, inventory control, and supply chain coordination activities. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless order fulfillment, production alignment, inventory optimization, and customer satisfaction while driving key supply chain performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Demand & Order Management

• Manage demand planning, schedule management, and delivery execution.
• Oversee daily intake, validation, and processing of domestic and export customer orders.
• Monitor customer forecasts versus firm orders and proactively communicate potential risks.
• Maintain accurate customer requirements in ERP systems.
• Manage customer escalations related to order discrepancies, billing issues, and delivery delays.

Supply Chain Planning & Coordination

• Release monthly SIOP plans and rolling resource plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales, production, and inventory requirements.
• Review and release production plans in coordination with PPC teams.
• Monitor SIOP performance against actual production and identify supply risks.
• Support demand planning activities for new projects and customer launches.

Inventory & Logistics Management

• Monitor inventory turns and Days on Hand (DOH).
• Drive inventory optimization initiatives and ensure stock availability.
• Coordinate with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and dispatch teams for timely deliveries.
• Manage safety stock levels and prioritize critical shipments during supply constraints.

Reporting & Performance Management

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
• Analyze order trends and contribute to demand forecasting activities.
• Track and report key operational metrics.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation initiatives.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop order processing and coordination teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Represent Supply Chain Management in cross-functional reviews and business discussions.

Key Performance Indicators

• 100% OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance for OEM/OES customers.
• Demand Accuracy above 95%.
• Zero backlog for export and spare parts orders.
• Effective Order Cycle Time management.
• Inventory optimization and DOH control.
• Compliance with AS247 (Demand Forecast & Firm Orders).

Qualifications

Education

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• PGDM or specialization in Supply Chain Management preferred.

Experience

• 11 to 13 years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Logistics, Customer Order Management, or related functions.
• Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry is preferred.
