Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Safety Manager to manage site safety, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct safety inspections, and promote a strong safety culture across construction/industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures as per BOCW Act 1996 and applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safe working practices.
• Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, training, and emergency drills.
• Investigate incidents/near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain safety checklists, registers, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with project/operations teams to ensure safety standards are followed.
• Monitor fire safety, work-at-height, scaffolding, ladders, and other high-risk activities.
• Promote safety awareness and accountability among the workforce.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in Safety Management, preferably in Construction / Industrial environments.
• Higher Secondary / ITI / Diploma in Civil or Mechanical preferred.
• Certificate course in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety from a recognized institute – required.
• Valid First Aid and Fire Fighting certification.
• Knowledge of BOCW Act 1996, fire safety norms, PPE, and basic safety regulations.
• Good communication skills in Hindi/Bengali with working English.
• Physically fit for site inspections, including working at height.
