ECAD Engineer

Your Role:

An ECAD engineer guides Aptiv’s automotive OEM customers in having the best in class electronics by doing the best in class PCB designs for wide range of products.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and verification of multilayer PCBs with focus on low-cost, high reliability and high volume manufacturing.
• Strong capability of using Multilayer and HDI stack-ups.
• Create schematics, bill of materials, and support PCB layouts using Mentor / Siemens DxDesigner, Xpedition and Valor.
• Create design and production documentation (schematics, PCBs, electrical characteristics, etc.).
• Create Tooling and related required drawings.
• Valor creation and verification of Valor output.
• Circuit calculations and simulations as required for PCB design.
• Co-operation with local and remote engineering teams.
• Active participation in peer reviews.
• On-time execution of assigned tasks in compliance with APTIV quality standards.
• Follow Electrical Design Process.
• Continuous development of professional qualifications.
• Secure confidential information and company’s property.
• On-time execution of assigned tasks in compliance with the valid quality system.
• Create business impact through cost saving and participating in Business critical reviews.

Your Background:

• Working towards a Bachelors/Masters in Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• 6-10 years of experience in PCB design for digital and analog circuits with particular focus on microcontroller devices, medium power analog circuits and signal measurement.
• Hands on experience in ECAD tools preferably Mentor graphics Xpedition tool flow.
• Good English skills (both spoken and written).
• Communication skills.
• Problem Solving Skills.
