As a Functional Expert for CeBID, you will collaborate with stakeholders from Engineering, Aftersales, Manufacturing, and end-user communities to understand diagnostic requirements and translate them into IT solutions and development demands. You will be responsible for defining and delivering secure diagnostic solutions that support Daimler Truck's diagnostic ecosystem, including certificate-based diagnostics and related business processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Certificate-Based Diagnostics (CeBID), a solid understanding of Daimler Truck diagnostic tools and processes, and good knowledge of cryptographic concepts, PKI, and cybersecurity best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with cross functional teams including cybersecurity, Diagnostic Tools Owner and End users.
• Translates business demands into clear user stories and IT requirements.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for vehicle ECUs and diagnostic systems.
• Ensure requirements align with Secure Diagnostics concepts, user roles, and authorization mechanisms.
• Define test scenarios and functional test cases.
• Support UAT and cybersecurity validation activities.
• Ensure secure diagnostics workflow function as intended before.
• Support defect triage and functional issue resolution.
• Maintain functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.
• Conduct stakeholder training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Support compliance with ISO/SAE 21434, CSMS processes, and Secure Vehicle Development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of working experience Automotive Cybersecurity.
• Strong experience in Certificate based identification for Diagnostic.
• Hands-on experience with Daimler Diagnostic tools for secure Diagnostics.
• Good understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts.
• Experience in Authorization workflow tool, Certificate Management Tool, Validation, and Lifecycle Management.
• Good knowledge of cryptographic principles including:
• Asymmetric and Symmetric Encryption
• Digital Signatures
• Hashing Algorithms
• Key Management
• Certificate Chains and Trust Models
• Experience with security standards such as:
• X.509 Certificates
• TLS/SSL.
• Experience in security-focused application development is highly preferred.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a global and cross-functional environment.
