About the role

As an Associate Principal Solution Architect, you will support the design and delivery of Dyson’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) capabilities within the digital and enterprise IT landscape. Reporting to the Head of Solution Architecture, this role will focus on developing enterprise-grade solutions that enable seamless integration across digital platforms such as CMS, ERP, and e-commerce. You will play a key role in establishing the architecture for customer engagement tools, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with Dyson’s enterprise standards. In addition to addressing technical challenges, you will collaborate with global teams to interpret business objectives, provide thought leadership, and mentor your team of solution architects.

Key responsibilities:

• Architectural ownership:
  • Define and govern baseline and target architectures for customer engagement technologies, aligning solutions with enterprise strategies and roadmaps.
  • Identify capability gaps and deliver design artefacts such as logical architectures, integration views, and capability maps.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with Dyson’s security, scalability, and technical standards.
• Team leadership and collaboration:
  • Mentor and guide a team of solution architects, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
  • Work closely with business leaders to translate requirements into actionable, enterprise-wide architectural solutions.
  • Support the integration of customer engagement platforms with core enterprise systems, enabling robust data and process flows.
• Delivery focus:
  • Ensure technical governance and successful implementation of solutions, adhering to principles for compliance, security, and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement of customer engagement platforms, optimising existing systems for future scalability.
  • Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure efficient, high-quality delivery of digital transformation projects.

About you

You are an experienced architect with demonstrated expertise in customer-focused platforms and enterprise-level design. You bring a strong balance of technical ability, business acumen, and leadership qualities to guide large-scale architecture initiatives.

Skills and experience:

• Significant experience with customer engagement platforms, preferably Salesforce, and their integrations with CMS, ERP, and e-commerce systems.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies, such as TOGAF, and security standards for customer-centric solutions.
• Expertise in delivering scalable and secure system designs that align with organisational goals.
• Proven track record in managing complex enterprise projects with global stakeholders, balancing strategy with execution.

Core and behavioural competencies:

• Expert-level knowledge of IT general disciplines, technical IT skills, and compliance.
• Advanced leadership, stakeholder management, and logical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication capabilities, with the ability to clearly articulate technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid risk management skills to ensure alignment with project and organisational objectives.
