Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Assembly Production

Position: Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Assembly Production

Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh

Experience: 5–10 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering

CTC: ₹8–10 LPA (based on experience)

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Joining: Immediate

Job Summary

Looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Assembly Production to manage assembly line operations, production targets, quality control and a large shop-floor team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assembly production and a team of approximately 60–100 operators.
  • Achieve daily production, quality, rejection and rework targets.
  • Monitor production planning, manpower allocation, shift planning and material availability.
  • Resolve shop-floor production and quality issues and ensure smooth line operations.
  • Conduct 3G, Why-Why, Red Bin Analysis, PPM analysis, Quality Circle and Kaizen activities.
  • Implement 5S/6S, Poka-Yoke, SPC, line balancing and cycle-time reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct process/product audits and ensure adherence to SOPs and control plans.
  • Manage torque tool validation/calibration and BOM verification.
  • Prepare PPM, quality, production and monthly/weekly reports using MS Office.
  • Develop operator skill/multi-skill matrices and provide training.
  • Support packing, dispatch, customer complaints and warranty-related activities.
  • Ensure safety, PPE compliance and proper shop-floor practices.
  • Willingness to work across shifts and visit customers when required.

Desired Profile

  • 5–10 years of experience in assembly line production, preferably with 2–3 years as Shift Engineer/Line In-charge.
  • Experience with automobile/component manufacturing or sub-assembly is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 and quality tools.
  • Strong manpower management and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills in Hindi and working English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, email and production/quality reporting.
