Job Purpose

The AEOI Tax Project Lead will provide subject matter expertise and project leadership across FATCA, CRS and wider AEOI obligations. The role holder will work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Client Services to strengthen data quality, enhance reporting processes, implement regulatory changes and support the delivery of key tax compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project outcomes, providing expert guidance on AEOI requirements and ensuring the business remains compliant with evolving international tax reporting obligations.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead the delivery of strategic AEOI and tax compliance projects across the business.
• Provide subject matter expertise on FATCA, CRS, CRS 2.0 and other emerging AEOI requirements.
• Review client tax data, classifications, self-certifications and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Analyse data and reporting outputs to identify trends, exceptions, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, reporting and governance updates for stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of regulatory and legislative change impacting AEOI processes and reporting obligations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting quality and operational efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with Operations, Compliance, Risk, Technology and Client Services teams to deliver project objectives.
• Support management information reporting, data analysis and stakeholder presentations.
• Contribute to policy, procedure and process enhancements relating to AEOI obligations.
• Deliver guidance, knowledge sharing and training to colleagues where required.
• Support wider tax compliance and regulatory change initiatives across the business.

Skills and Experience

• Significant experience in FATCA, CRS, AEOI reporting or international tax compliance.
• Strong understanding of AEOI due diligence, client classification and reporting requirements.
• Experience delivering regulatory change, tax compliance or data-focused projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues and identify practical solutions.
• Experience working with large volumes of data and producing meaningful management information.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques.
• Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.
• Previous experience within banking, wealth management, fiduciary services or financial services would be highly desirable.
• STEP, ICA, tax, compliance or related professional qualifications would be advantageous.
