La oportunidad

Reporting directly to the OT Administrator, the OT Technician acts as the first line of defense and the physical backbone of the industrial digital transformation. In this role, you will execute the installation, connectivity, and hardware maintenance of the systems that bridge the gap between the shop floor and the digital layer — deploying IoT sensors, industrial cabling, and PLC hardware across our global manufacturing operations. Every connection you install and maintain has to meet industrial standards. Through rapid on-site troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, you will ensure the physical reliability of the network that keeps data flowing and production running.

The Roles

• Deployment & Physical Connectivity: Execute the physical mounting and wiring of IoT sensors, gateways, and PLC modules; perform field terminations (Ethernet, Fiber, Serial) following industrial standards and engineering designs.
• Front-Line Support & Maintenance: Provide rapid on-site troubleshooting for hardware failures to minimize production downtime, and perform routine preventive maintenance on OT infrastructure, including cleaning and testing of communication nodes.
• Asset Documentation & Field Mapping: Maintain an updated inventory of OT hardware, spare parts, and specialized tools; document physical wiring changes and keep site diagrams current.
• OT Asset Inventory & Physical Audits: Maintain real-time inventory of OT components (sensors, PLCs, I/O modules) to ensure immediate availability for repairs, and conduct monthly physical audits across plant areas to verify installed hardware matches the digital asset registry and the Manufacturing Integration Roadmap.
• Security & Operational Housekeeping: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of OT cabinets and server racks, promptly reporting environmental risks such as heat, dust, or moisture.

The Requirements

Education: University degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience); Mechatronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering backgrounds are also valued. Bilingual 100% English-Spanish.

Experience: Approximately 1 year of relevant hands-on experience; no prior managerial experience required.
