This is a temporary role for 6 months.
The Payroll and Benefits Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the payroll and benefits administration processes in a particular location to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of employee remuneration and associated benefits. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll regulations, benefits management, and employee satisfaction strategies while fostering alignment with global and local HR policies.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. Payroll or benefits-specific certifications are advantageous.
Proven experience (6+ years) in payroll and benefits management, preferably within the oil and gas or offshore industries. Expertise in relevant social security reporting and regulations, ensuring accurate submissions and updates as required by law. Hands-on experience with payroll systems tailored to local labor laws. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday). Strong knowledge of local labor laws, tax regulations, and benefits frameworks. Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and payroll software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and relevant local language.
