Project Manager - Belfast

The Project Manager will be responsible for driving the day‑to‑day execution of projects on a global scale, supporting multiple instrument‑based monitoring solutions used across the Electrical Transmission and Distribution sector. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the timely delivery of projects, meeting all contractual delivery dates and milestones through to successful project closure.

The role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including Sales, Quotations, Operations, Purchasing, and Field Services, to ensure seamless project execution. There is significant customer engagement to ensure all technical and commercial specifications are met, and that hardware delivery and supporting documentation are provided accurately and on schedule.

Our customer base spans over 60 countries, with project teams located across multiple continents to ensure responsiveness and support across global time zones. The Project Manager will operate effectively within this matrixed, international environment to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes.

You will be part of a dedicated Projects Team and will play a key role in driving customer success, including revenue growth and long‑term retention within targeted accounts. This team is considered a critical talent pool within the organization, offering high visibility and strong opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the project backlog including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress.
• Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the project management process.
• Managing relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to project management.
• Developing and maintaining a database of projects and related documentation.
• Reviewing and approving project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitoring and controlling project risks, issues, and changes.
• Providing training and professional development opportunities to project managers.
• Collaborating with other departments within the organization to ensure that projects are aligned with overall business objectives.
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices related to project management.
• Performing other duties as assigned by senior management.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• BSC degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field is required. MS degree is preferred.
• Experience, ideally expertise in technical customer service/ commercial operations role. Preference will be given to those with knowledge and experience working or serving the utility Transmission, Distribution or Power Generation industries.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of IT and communication protocols, comfortable around instrumentation and using basic programming tools where necessary.
• Proven track record on how to influence, engage and motivate colleagues and customers to seek out the right solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders are also essential.
• Problem solving and advanced troubleshooting skills in technical and process related issues.
• Experience with CRM case management e.g. Salesforce.com and Oracle is preferred.
