The Payroll Administrator, EMEA, supports regional payroll operations and assists with the effective and efficient execution of the payroll function across the EMEA region as part of the Global Payroll Center of Excellence (COE) team. The Regional Payroll Administrator, EMEA, supports Global Payroll COE policies, procedures, systems, controls, service delivery standards, and regional execution requirements through payroll inputs, data validation, reconciliations, reporting, documentation, provider coordination, and employee inquiry support. The Regional Payroll Administrator, EMEA, performs the analysis and execution required to support high-quality payroll service to the organization and a consistent employee experience across different countries, languages, cultures, and global time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Support EMEA payroll operations as part of the Global Payroll COE team by assisting with end-to-end payroll processing activities, including payroll inputs, data validation, payroll calendars, approvals, funding support, and post-payroll activities.
- Prepare, validate, and reconcile payroll data, reports, and supporting documentation to help ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, timeliness, and adherence to defined controls.
- Follow Global Payroll COE and regional payroll policies, procedures, controls, and checklists while supporting local statutory requirements, country-specific reporting, and recurring compliance activities.
- Coordinate with outsourced payroll providers and in-country partners on routine payroll matters, open items, service delivery questions, recurring deliverables, and issue follow-up.
- Escalate complex, sensitive, or unresolved payroll matters to the Regional Payroll Lead with clear facts, supporting analysis, relevant documentation, and recommended next steps where appropriate.
- Maintain payroll process documentation, checklists, calendars, control evidence, and shared tracking tools to support consistent execution, audit readiness, and continuity across the region.
- Support employee and stakeholder payroll inquiries by researching issues, gathering required information, providing timely updates, and helping deliver a clear and service-oriented employee experience.
- Assist with payroll compliance activities, including statutory reporting support, tax and social security requirements, pension-related processes, year-end activities, and local filing obligations.
- Contribute to Global Payroll COE transformation, technology, reporting, integration, data quality, and process improvement initiatives through testing, data validation, documentation, issue tracking, and implementation support.
- Support data privacy and security expectations by handling payroll data appropriately and following company procedures, provider protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-country payroll environment while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and timely follow-through.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, preferably supporting payroll operations across multiple countries or within a regional payroll environment.
- Experience preparing, validating, and reconciling payroll data, reports, payroll calendars, documentation, and post-payroll activities.
- Working knowledge of payroll processes, controls, compliance requirements, statutory reporting, tax, social security, pensions, and country-specific payroll practices within EMEA preferred.
- Experience working with payroll systems, provider portals, shared tracking tools, and Microsoft Excel; experience with ADP Celergo, or similar platforms preferred.
- Ability to support payroll audit readiness through accurate documentation, control evidence, reconciliations, and timely follow-up on open items.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, follow-through, and ability to manage recurring deadlines across multiple payroll cycles.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate within the Global Payroll COE structure and support employee and stakeholder inquiries across different countries, languages, cultures, and time zones.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while supporting multiple priorities, deadlines, providers, and stakeholders.
