We’re hiring for an EHS Coordinator to join our team Addis Adaba, Ethiopia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety observations and identify corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Monitor environmental compliance requirements including waste management, emissions, and hazardous materials handling.
• Support emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Track and report EHS performance metrics and KPIs.
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions arising from audits and inspections.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support contractor safety management and permit-to-work processes.
• Ensure proper maintenance of EHS documentation and regulatory records.

Addis Adaba, Ethiopia

Qualifications and Required Skills:

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant EHS certification.
• Previous experience in an EHS or safety coordination role, ideally within agriculture, manufacturing, production, warehousing, logistics, or a similar operational environment.
• Practical experience with risk assessments, safety inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Good understanding of occupational health, safety and environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting EHS training, contractor safety and corrective action processes.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to track EHS metrics and maintain accurate documentation.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong commitment to promoting a positive safety culture.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
