Expedia Group Business to Business (EG B2B) partners with enterprises such as travel agencies, airlines, financial institutions, membership organizations and travel management companies to provide them with access to the leading Expedia Group travel inventory. We equip our partners with the right data, tools and technology that empowers them to build their business and maximize their potential.

You will shape the direction of EG B2B's rapidly growing business. In this role you will own strategic initiatives within the B2B Strategy & Transformation team, from framing the problem through to influencing the top leadership and driving cross-functional execution. You will lead the construction of the strategic plan, including market and competitor analysis and assessment of EG B2B performance, and you will represent Strategy & Transformation directly with senior leadership across Commercial, Product and Technology, and Finance. This position carries independent ownership of executive-facing workstreams and significant scope to shape how EG B2B competes.

Your role

• Own the identification and prioritization of growth opportunities across B2B teams, and independently drive stakeholder alignment through to implementation
• Lead the construction of strategic recommendations for the TLT and senior leadership, backed by rigorous analysis of pros, cons, cost, risk, resources, and timing
• Act as a trusted advisor to VP and SVP-level stakeholders, shaping how they frame their biggest challenges and driving them toward decisions
• Apply deep understanding of business processes to originate solutions against ambiguous, high-stakes objectives, not only respond to them
• Direct the construction of advanced models and analyses across data sources, stress testing decisions and their impact across scenarios
• Bring deep industry and market expertise to identify emerging trends ahead of the market and translate them into strategic bets
• Serve as the senior go-to expert on how products and services should be applied within the industry to maximize enterprise value
• Anticipate the financial and operational impact of key decisions across the B2B portfolio, and use that insight to steer multiple concurrent, complex initiatives
• Assemble and mobilize the right mix of Commercial, Product and Technology, and Finance contributors for each initiative, adapting team composition as priorities shift
• Lead virtual, cross-functional project teams assembled around specific initiatives, setting direction and holding contributors from other functions accountable to timelines and quality without formal reporting authority

Your experience

• Bachelor's degree from top university required, MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience within a management consulting firm, e-commerce and/or corporate strategy, including demonstrated progression into roles of increasing scope
• Track record of leading cross-functional or matrixed teams and driving outcomes without formal management authority
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a track record of directing others' modeling, analysis, and presentation work
• Comfortable operating with high ambiguity and imperfect information, with a demonstrated ability to originate structure where none exists
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with experience navigating senior leadership teams and competing priorities across functions
• Demonstrated ability to independently frame unstructured, ambiguous problems and set the agenda for how they get solved
• Ability to distinguish key value drivers and high-impact actions from lower-value items, and to prioritize a portfolio of initiatives accordingly
• A commercially astute self-starter with a track record of operating with minimal oversight

This role is based in Madrid, Spain. Candidates must have permission to work in Spain.

The total cash range for this position in Madrid is €113,500.00 to €159,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to €181,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
