About the Photo & Audio Visual (AV) Studio team

The Photo & AV Studio team sits within the marketing organisation and has the enviable position of straddling two worlds in the entertainment industry: marketing strategy and Photo & AV asset creation. We specialise in finding the most impactful visual strategy for our local Originals or campaigns and bringing it to life through photography and AV, producing content that compels people to watch our shows across multiple channels and platforms.

About the Role

We're looking for a Photo & AV Studio Manager to join our Berlin office — a strategic and creative mind who translates marketing strategy into photo & AV assets we leverage across our campaigns. You'll develop the visual direction, decide what is needed to execute it, and lead the process end to end, from ideation through production.

What photo will pop on socials? What video will drive conversation? How do we tell a show's story in one image? What will help influencers create their own assets? What video gets audiences and publishers excited about a new show? What special idea can we realise at an activation or event that gets people talking? These are just some of the opportunities you'll be delivering in this role.

Strong strategic thinking, organisational skill, a very proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously are essential. This role is highly cross-functional, partnering with Social, Marketing, Publicity, and Product to turn that strategy into standout content.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Produce cross-functional bespoke photography and AV shoots from ideation through to execution and delivery
• Develop and execute DACH strategy, per project/title, to capture, produce and utilise creative material to enhance and support the title campaign throughout its lifecycle
• Oversee photography and AV creative on a slate of projects that include series, films and documentaries
• Drive communication with your internal DACH partners in marketing, social and publicity, and external partners - showrunners/filmmakers, talent and talent reps
• Hire and oversee unit photographers and video crews, including script and schedule review and communication with production
• Manage external vendors such as stylists, hair and makeup etc.
• Arrange partner contracts and permissions
• Assist with the asset management and servicing of material
• Manage title budgets

Skills & Requirements:

• 8 or more years experience working across visual asset production / creation, publishing, marketing, publicity and/or entertainment
• Demonstrated solid organisational skills, effective time management, and the ability to deliver clear and effective written and verbal communication across internal and external teams.
• Strong creative eye with a keen understanding of visual storytelling in the service of audience-first communication strategies
• Able to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams, make sound decisions, think strategically, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience working with TV/film productions, talent, filmmakers
• Understand and interest in copyright laws, usage licenses and embargoes
• Understand the photography/video industry and with strong networks in each
• Strong knowledge in creative digital assets formats and asset management
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro (or other relevant Adobe Pro applications), is preferred
