YOUR TASKS
- Management tasks (with regional approach)
- Ensuring security policy in the region is controlled and monitored according to corporate processes.
- Planning and budgeting costs to provide any necessary resources required for coordinating the relevant activities and ensuring optimum security.
- Manage and monitor the effectiveness of security awareness programs for employees including ensuring the adequate qualification of training staff, and the development of all training material.
- Participation in the development and updating of security standards for persons, properties/locations, including structural and technical security measures.
- Supporting the development of structural-technical security measures.
- Autonomous monitoring and reporting of the results of all security initiatives and incidents.
- Development of security processes and tools for identifying location risks and the introduction of countermeasures in collaboration with local and management.
- Ensure and monitor the training and support all internal or external staff concerning security issues.
- Manage the preparation of security threat and risk analysis.
- Ensure the creation and updating of security concepts (administrative, structural-technical) based on existing security requirements and risk factors.
- Preparation and monitoring of tenders for security services in accordance with corporate processes and policy (evaluate demand, ensure service quality and contractual components).
- Actively support the negotiations for awarding security services and technical installations.
- Ensure maximum cost-benefit and also compliance with company purchasing policies.
- Execute and support security auditing measures for all real estate controlled by the local organization in accordance with corporate processes and policy.
- Manage and develop the investigative process for security incidents and compliance matters and create reports documenting all measures taken and any follow-up actions.
- Communicate investigation results to relevant management positions.
- Develop, support and update operational demands concerning any electronic access control systems relevant to the facility and ensure compliance with corporate processes and policy.
- Ensure the adherence to corporate travel security program at the facilities, as well as assisting business travelers to the security risks concerning at all company locations.
- Coordinate, manage, and maintain contacts with governmental authorities in order to maximize efficient support for the security of the business operations in the region.
- Support for the security of the business operations in the region.
- Represent the company within official industrial security associations and organizations in order to protect the company's interests, promote collaboration, and initiate or take up ideas for proactive security actions.
- Contribute to administrative and operational crisis management processes in order to respond to major security incidents in an appropriate and targeted manner and draft proposed solutions for submission to crisis management.
- Actively support information security programs.
- Coordinate governance activities related to preventive and defensive fire/explosion protection, crisis management and physical security (Security), i.e., site/event security, security engineering, travel security, fraud investigations, know-how and prototype protection, and personal security of members of the Management Board.
- Checking fire-protection and explosion-protection measures of escape, rescue, emergency and first aid equipment.
- The governance of adherence to legal EHS regulations while taking into consideration economic aspects.
- Giving advice to reduce the risks at the various locations (Protection of the locations).
- Managing legal EHS topics with the public authorities.
- Establish an EHS network in the defined regions under governance aspects.
- Exchange of expert knowledge, best practices and lessons learned within the region.
- Link between global and local EHS organization.
- Functional Leadership of the local EHS employees in the region.
- Deliver specific guidance and support for local EHS employees in the fulfillment of their tasks.
- EHS Target (e.g., AccR, 7MSR score, FES development) achievement is to be ensured through necessary regular communication, cooperation, and coordination of all EHS activities in the region with internal offices and persons involved as well as external customers, authorities etc.
- In accordance with the respective current legal regulations to ensure legal compliance in EHS and advising of the locations.
- Targets for the locations will be implemented and defined within the framework of the target pyramid, to deploy, to assist, to support, to motivate and to monitor the subordinate employees appropriately for target achievement.
- The strategic orientation of EHS is to be specified, taking into consideration the CAPEX and OPEX planning as well as optimum utilization of the available human-resources capacities and qualifications of the employees, based on legal regulations.
- Considering their educational background and qualification, the further training of the subordinate employees in case of functional is to be organized and stipulated in cooperation with the Human Resources Division in such a way that all tasks of the department can be fulfilled in accordance with current legal regulations as well as the latest knowledge.
- Deploying employees corresponding to their qualifications within the relevant structure.
- Instructing and supporting employees in a target-oriented and motivating manner to fulfill the tasks.
- Guiding, instructing and supporting employees in function-related tasks.
- Responsible for hiring process and sustain the team’s performance and evaluation as well as qualification demands.
- Managing of employees according to targets and delegation, to select, to qualify and further develop employees on the basis of a culture of trust, control effectiveness, in order to develop and compensate potential and promote individual competencies, to achieve the targets of the department.
Specialist tasks (with regional approach)
- Execution of global EHS standards in the region and definition of regional standards if necessary.
- Advising on the planning, execution, maintenance, and modification of plant facilities, in the procurement of technical equipment, the introduction of working methods and working materials, the designing of workplaces, working sequences and working environments, as well as on questions of ergonomics in the case of the assessment of the working conditions.
- Implementing and testing new EHS processes and projects, initiatives and tools, operational regulations, and programs.
- Support of locations in EHS related monitoring and acceptance of operational processes, plant facilities, works equipment, technical equipment, working methods, working materials and workplaces, particularly before they are introduced and/or put into operation and after major changes.
- Selecting, testing and involvement in the specification of personal protective equipment.
- Supporting locations in terms of accidents analysis and definition of countermeasures.
- Organization of a professional processing of accidents, including the necessary evaluations and accident statistics, as well as correspondence with authorities and maintenance of the documentation.
- Conducting ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Audits as Lead Auditor in our FORVIA HELLA sites.
- Organization and conducting of trainings on relevant topics of EHS.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- University-level education.
- Leadership potential.
- Professional level of English proficiency.
- At least 10 years of experience with EHS.
- At least 5 years of experience with security management.
- International manufacturing companies.
- Strong knowledge in Chinese EHS norms and regulation.
- ISO 14001 and 45001 experience (ideally internal Auditor qualification).
- Practical experience on emergency and crisis management would be a plus.
- Co-work with government and security department.
- Able to travel with 20~30% frequency.
