Director, supply line engineering

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Team Management
   • Key performance objectives setting for the team
   • Organize team activity with well resource planning
   • Team efficiency supervising and assessment
   • Motivate the team for sustainable enthusiasm
   • Communicate the team member for annual performance and career plan
2. Report Review and Approve
   • Review and comment on the supplier 8D report
   • Supplier audit report review and score determine
   • AVL MCO review and approve
   • SPCN review and approve
3. New Supplier Development
   • Align with Procurement on the sourcing strategy
   • Identify potential capable suppliers
   • Review the qualification report of new supplier
   • Identify the potential risk of new supplier to the project
   • Review material design to supplier manufacturability
4. Process Optimization
   • Identify the gap between team practice and procedure requirement
   • Initiate improvement proposals to the senior managers
   • Participate in the process establishment for the new business
   • Support customer or 3rd party audit on the process optimization
   • Deal with confliction with functional teams
   • Escalate to supplier executive for more resource and priority
5. Others
   • Support customer audit from Coherent plant
   • Make team report per need from senior manager

Qualification & Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field; advanced educational qualifications are a plus. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and sufficient relevant professional experience will also be considered.
• 15+ years of relevant working experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 10+ years of managerial or leadership experience in quality, engineering, or supply chain functions

Professional Competencies

• Proficient in core quality tools including 8D, MSA, SPC, DOE, FMEA, etc.; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a strong plus
• Familiar with mainstream quality and management systems: ISO9001/14001/45001/14064, QC080000, IATF16949, etc.
• Skilled in data analysis tools such as Minitab and JMP
• Well-versed in industry standards including Bellcore, Mil-standard, IPC, JEDEC, and RBA requirements (as applicable)
• Solid hands-on experience in supplier system and process audit
• Deep understanding of material manufacturing processes, testing methods, product specification requirements, and supplier compliance regulatory requirements
• Extensive supply chain experience with clear insight into supplier capability landscape of the industry

• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time to suppliers, internal facilities, and other global locations as required
• Able to support a flexible work schedule to align with collaboration across multiple worldwide sites
